Champaign County Fundraiser

Before the reception at the Arts Council in Urbana, I'll be doing a book signing at Urbana's Book Nook at 4PM. It's located at 111 N. Main Street, Urbana 43078. Their phone is 937 658 8732. If you haven't been to Urbana, you're missing a treat. The downtown is alive and vibrant, 19th-century homes showing delightful architecture, and friendly people. It's a grand example of small town Ohio.

I'll sign Historic Barns of Ohio, which lists the paintings and essays of barns in all 88 Ohio counties (released by The History Press, March, 2021) and I'll also sign my new full-color book, Round Barns of America, published by Acclaim Press in late 2022. This book features 75 round barns in 32 states, stretching from the east coast to the Wild West, and includes their stories, which range from the mid-1700s and the French and Indian War to more recent times, when an Iowa barn enthusiast built five stone round barns! Both books went through their first printings within a year of publication and both will be for sale at this event. I'll also sign my third barn book, Stone Barns of America, which covers these rare barns east of the Mississippi. Their stories are amazing.

Over 20 of my paintings will be displayed and for sale at the Arts Council, which has nonprofit credentials. Part of the proceeds will help fund this wonderful association. Though I won't be telling barn stories, I'll meet and greet the public on this opening night of the show. The gallery is located near the quaint and lively downtown of Urbana.
